depression
a little insight into my mind, and the lovely thoughts it feeds me and fuels me with, every. single. hour. of every. single. passing. day...
You sink into the floorboards, seeping through the cracks as the four walls - iron, steel, metal bars close into you from all corners and all sides, grazing your arms and splitting your skin,
The cage shrinks and shrinks until it squeezes your chest and tightens your head, wrapped around and wringing out your oesophagus and you gasp and sputter for air as blood pools from your eyes, black clouds your vision and bile floods and fills your dry, cracked mouth, voice hoarse and throat aching from the strangulation and lack of use,
You are squeezed and squeezed until your mind loses focus your brain disconnects and your body goes limp. But you are not dead. You are living, breathing, full of ideas, full of potential. But you are a dead soul in a lifeless body. A beating heart for a spark that died out long ago. You were snuffed out long ago.
None of your efforts mean anything,
Why are you still here?
You melt into a little puddle on the floor, the blood mixes with the tears and debris you've collected in your soulless soul over the years. It sprays out, across the wooden boards they've nailed and chained you too, shackled you down forever. You try to scream, you try to cry out, try to move. None of it works. None of it gets you anywhere. None of it does anything. None of it means anything.
Nothing you are means anything.
And you are pathetic.
You are worthless.
You are nothing.

It’s scary how much I relate to this. Depression isn’t loud, it’s silent and slow, and your words show that perfectly. I hope writing this gave you even a little peace. It gave me a strange comfort too〰️
the descriptiveness tho🫂❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
