Pull me under forever
and never let me wake again
I’m fine in the mornings,
‘till I wake up and remember where I am…
I need a blade,
to slice across the tender crease of a slice of bread,
to watch the red wine pour, drip-drip,
Soak up in the warm, crystal clear waters of the tub.
I need to hear the ringing bells,
The buzzing,
The black spots and the fuzzing,
then to feel the sweet relief,
the sweet release,
I need to melt into the waters,
let the bubbles float up to the surface,
never come up to gasp for air,
Never come up at all.

"I need to melt into the waters,

Never come up at all."
This is hauntingly beautiful and so well written! 💞
